The success of virtual reality (VR) for seniors is widely praised by executive directors and wellness navigators across many senior living communities. Customized programs are increasing mental stimulation and providing new social experiences that are keys to healthy aging. But the use of VR experiences as a selling tool for developers still has much untapped potential.

Blake Gillman, VP/Director Post-Acute Care Services, Life Care Services

Blake Gillman currently serves as the vice president/director of post-acute care services for Life Care Services, An LCS Company. He began his career in long term care career over 28 years ago as an administrator and continued his career as chief operating officer for various long term care companies until becoming the founding member and owner of a national healthcare consulting firm, and was the owner of a national contract rehabilitation company. Both companies specialized in providing operational consultancy and rehab services to long term Care providers and CCRCs throughout the United States.

Dr. Jamison Feramisco, Co-Founder and President, GAPS Health

Dr. Jamison Feramisco is a recognized practicing physician with focus in Hospitalist Medicine and Dermatology.  He has worked for years to eliminate healthcare system waste through evidence-based clinical care delivery, deep data analytics, and disruptive and innovative health technology.  Jamison is the Co-Founder and President of GAPS Health, created to close the “GAPS” in Medical Director Quality and Clinical Leadership in the Post-Acute Environment.  GAPS is helping skilled nursing facilities to achieve deficiency free surveys, manage census, and reduce acute transfers by over 50%.

In years past, Jamison has served as a Founder and Executive in numerous healthcare innovative corporation.  He has been President and Chairman of Apri Health, an internationally renowned data analytics and clinical change company, Chief Medical Officer of CQuentia, coordinating precision pharmacogenomics and big data analytics, Physician-in-Chief of Scanadu, Chief Scientific Officer of Lumiata, Founder and President of Golden Healthcare.  In the telemedicine and telehealth space, he organized physician and nursing telemedicine services for rural acute hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living communities, and home care and is a co-founder and served as Chief Medical Officer of Third Eye Health, the leading telemedicine company in post-acute care.  In addition, he has also worked intimately with medical devices, FDA, HIPAA and big data in healthcare where he remains a thought leader and domain expert in the practical application of healthcare technology.

Jamison has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and maintains numerous professional affiliations. He holds a BS in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and in Biochemistry from the University of California Los Angeles, and earned his MD and PhD degrees from UT Southwestern Medical School/Parkland Hospital in Dallas. His PhD thesis work was completed in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics under the guidance of Nobel Laureates Drs. Mike Brown and Joe Goldstein and has received post-graduate medical training in both Internal Medicine and Dermatology at UT Southwestern and UC San Francisco, respectively.

Bob Benson, Executive Director, Rolling Green Village

Bob is executive director at Rolling Green Village in Greenville, South Carolina. He began his career as a licensed nursing home administrator and has since served as an executive of record for several non-profit CCRCs. Bob’s career has spanned every aspect of healthcare and aging services as well as multiple states, including Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, and Illinois. Bob holds a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and a Specialist Certification in Gerontology both from University of Michigan. Bob also received the AAHSA Ziegler Graduate Fellowship in Strategic and Financial Planning, studying at Harvard University, School of Business.

Cindi Nelson, VP/Director of Healthcare Marketing & Sales, Life Care Services

Cindi Nelson is the VP/Director of Healthcare Marketing and Sales for Life Care Services. Her focus is to extend our commitment to performance excellence through the continuum of care and address what has become a highly specialized and complex aspect of the senior housing market; post-acute care.  Cindi works closely with the Health Services Division to ensure a seamless collaboration in healthcare marketing and revenue generation.

Cindi has worked in senior housing since 1995 and became a member of the Life Care Services team in 2008. She started as a Regional Marketing Manager for Life Care Services and was promoted to Director of Marketing and Sales in 2010.  In 2015 Cindi was promoted to VP/Director of Healthcare Marketing and Sales.   Prior to joining Life Care Services, Cindi worked as the Director of Marketing and Sales for a community managed by Life Care Services for seven years.
