Life Care Services, An LCS Company, announced today that Michael Berg, Director of Operations Management, has been named to the 2022 class of Future Senior Living Leaders by Aging Media Network. The award recognizes dynamic leaders who are laying the foundation for a bright future in care delivery and aging.

Berg began his career with Life Care Services in 2015 as the Executive Director of Magnolia Springs in Lexington, Kentucky. He was promoted to a Director of Operations Management role in 2021. During his tenure, he has had an impressive impact on improving occupancy, expanding operations, leading new construction projects, and managing multiple communities and their teams.

Industry colleagues site Berg’s advocacy work as one of the things that set him apart. He has served on the Kentucky Senior Living Association (KSLA) Board of Directors for more than six years and collaborated with a group of coalition partners to get a bill passed to modernize assisted living in the state. His vigor – and more than two years of work – led to Senate Bill 11 becoming law during the 2022 General Assembly in Kentucky. Those advocacy efforts were recognized by the Kentucky House of Representatives and the Kentucky Senior Living Association Excellence in Civic Involvement award in 2022.

Berg graduated from the University of Kentucky with dual degrees: Economics and Marketing; and Management with a minor in International Business.

Berg will be formally recognized during the BUILD Conference in Chicago on November 9-10. Visit Aging Media to learn more about the Future Leaders Class of 2022.
