The United Way of Central Iowa recognized LCS with a LIVE UNITED Champion award during its 2024 Annual LIVE UNITED event on April 30, 2024.  LIVE UNITED Champions are organizations that are making an impact in central Iowa, improving lives through their exceptional efforts giving, advocating, and volunteering for those in our community who need help. LCS was one of three companies selected to receive a Champion award.

In addition to an annual corporate campaign, LCS promotes volunteer opportunities throughout the year and provides paid volunteer time off. In 2023, LCS employees participated in United Way’s Day of Action to volunteer at Oak Park Elementary in Des Moines to read books and complete literacy activities with local third graders. This year, the LCS employee campaign exceeded expectations and raised $10,000 more than the previous year. The LCS executive team supports United Way each year and increased their leadership-level giving with three additional Tocqueville Society members.
