Sedgebrook Leader Recognized for Home Care Program

Joanne Kopper named in LeadingAge Illinois Award Program
A new home health program developed by Joanne Kopper, director of resident health services, received the LeadingAge Illinois 2020 Strive & Thrive Award in the management category. Kopper works at Sedgebrook and created the program to offer better home care services to its residents. Sedgebrook is a Life Plan Community managed by Life Care Services, located in in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

“At the beginning of 2019, when our community decided to start our own home care agency, we jumped at the opportunity to make Joanne the new director,” says Keegan Sawyer, executive director, Sedgebrook. “We truly could not have chosen a better person for this role.”
Sawyer noted that under Kopper’s leadership, the senior living community had a deficiency-free opening survey to obtain its license in September 2019. He says, “Not only has this been an important new service that we’re excited to be able to provide to our residents, but Joanne has made it financially stable in its second month of operation!”
Congratulations are extended to Joanne and the staff at Sedgebrook for their commitment to quality, excellence, and serving as an inspiration to others.
