Senior Living Communities Nominated for Architecture Awards
Projects led by LCS Development showcase expertise in senior living
Projects led by LCS Development at two senior living communities have been nominated in the renovation or repositioning category of the 2020 Architecture & Design Awards sponsored by Senior Housing News. Awards will be announced December 15, 2020.
Wyndemere, a Life Plan Community in Wheaton, Illinois. Wyndemere is minutes from downtown Wheaton, Northwestern Medical Central DuPage, DuPage County and Government Campus.
LCS Development led the team of SBA Architects, RDG Planning and Ryan Companies to create new independent living apartments, complementing the continuum of care at the community. In addition, existing amenities were expanded to complete the community’s long-term wellness program and create a bridge between the new and existing buildings. A previous project included new wellness area, dining venue and resident activity spaces.
In partnership, LCS Development and Life Care Services have conducted master planning, market analysis, design, financing and construction activities so that Wyndemere can stay vibrant and competitive. This project represents the most recent step in this ongoing process.
The project was completed September 2020.
Rolling Green Village, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, was established 30 years ago on 175 acres of farmland generously donated by Greenville residents.
Before undertaking this renovation and expansion project at the community, LCS Development led the master planning process and previous development projects. The current project added 60 independent living apartments and 23 cottages. In addition, a new clubhouse, main entrance and dining venues were constructed along with an extensive expansion of resident amenities.
LCS Development led the team of THW Design, RDG Planning, Triangle Construction, and Mavin Construction through project completion. The community is managed by Life Care Services.
The project was completed October 2020.
