Work Progresses on Senior Living Community

Strategic planning leads to expansion at Westminster in Austin, Texas
LCS Development, An LCS Company, has begun vertical construction on Westminster senior living in Austin, Texas. The $115 million expansion project achieved financing in June of this year with the guidance of Ziegler, a specialty investment bank and is slated for a phased completion throughout 2022.
“This project is the result of many hours of conversation and planning,” says Bill Brown member of the Westminster Board of Directors. “As chair of the strategic planning committee, I’m pleased with the committee’s collaboration and appreciate the efforts of LCS Development to achieve our goals.”
The multi-phase expansion project will include 61 independent living apartments, 36 assisted living units and 38 memory care units. In addition, an outdoor family friendly courtyard, dog park and under-building parking will be added.
“These new spaces and amenities will raise the residency value for the seniors we serve,” says Chuck Borst, executive director, Westminster. “We are looking forward to the completed project which will allow us to serve more seniors in our community.”
Westminster is located on a 9.3-acre campus at 4100 Jackson Avenue. Project partners were all from the Austin area and include Pi Architects, White Construction Company, Studio Six5, Pape Dawson and EEA.
