The process of vaccinating residents and employees is underway. Working with our pharmacy partners and local health authorities, vaccine clinics are being scheduled at our communities. We continue to be steadfast in taking every precaution to protect the community from the spread of COVID-19. We encourage all residents and employees to receive the vaccine when it is available. Vaccination protocol and updates will be communicated directly to residents and employees.
As the vaccine is made available, we will continue to follow the three-level phased approach based on local, state and regional criteria for reopening our communities. Please know the process will be taken thoughtfully at LCS.
We all look forward to the day when LCS communities can resume activities and residents can socialize with family and friends, yet the health and safety of our residents and employees must remain our highest priority. LCS will approach the process to reopen communities slowly and deliberately.
As the situation evolves, we will adapt and make changes to protocols while remaining consistent with recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and local and state public health officials. We have stated before, this is a marathon, not a sprint. At LCS-managed communities across the country, we’ll continue to follow the heightened precautionary measures currently in place including social distancing, restricting non-essential visitors and wearing masks.
